Day One: Arrival
Once you arrive in Moshi, you'll get a friendly briefing on your trekking itinerary. This is also the perfect time to pick up any gear you might not have been able to bring from home. Plus, your guide will share some helpful tips for acclimatizing to the altitude so you can enjoy the adventure ahead.

Trekking Schedule
Day 1: Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut
- Distance: 10 km
- Elevation: 1,500 m to 2,514 m
- Trekking Time: 4-6 hours
- Highlights: Wildlife sightings, Fig Tree Arch, Maio Falls, Kitoto Viewpoint.
Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
- Distance: 6 km
- Elevation: 2,514 m to 3,570 m
- Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
- Highlights: Elephant’s Back viewpoint, crossing the tree line, Little Meru summit.
Day 3: Saddle Hut to Summit and back to Miriakamba Hut
- Distance: 18 km (round trip)
- Elevation: 3,570 m to 4,566 m (summit) and back to 2,514 m
- Trekking Time: 12 hours
- Highlights: Summit at Socialist Peak, stunning sunrise, views of Kilimanjaro.
Day 4: Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate
- Distance: 10 km
- Elevation: 2,514 m to 1,500 m
- Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
- Highlights: Descend through lush forests, final wildlife sightings.
