The Trek Begins

Once you're all set with the registration and clearances at the entry gate, it's time to kick off your mountain trekking adventure. The beginning of the trail is lush with greenery and stunning views, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot some wildlife along the way. Enjoy your trek!

  • Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

  • Morning: Trek through the alpine desert to Barafu Camp.

Day 7: Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak and Descend to Mweka Camp

  • Midnight: Begin the ascent to Uhuru Peak.

  • Morning: Reach the summit and enjoy the breathtaking views.

  • Midday: Descend back to Barafu Camp for lunch.

  • Evening: Continue descending to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

  • Morning: Trek back through the rainforest to Mweka Gate.

  • Midday: Transfer back to your hotel or the airport for departure.
